Day 3 Thu Mar 19 Galilee
Travel along the Mediterranean coastline to Caesarea to see the new excavations on the shores of the Mediterranean. Continue through Mt. Carmel to the port city of Haifa for a view of Haifa Bay. Tour Muhraqa site of the battle of Elijah with the prophets of Baal. Continue to Megiddo, where excavations have uncovered 20 layers of civilization. View the beauty of the Jezreel Valley. Drive to Nazareth to visit Nazareth Village. Continue to Sepphoris, an archeological site north of Nazareth, that overlooks Beit Netofa Valley.

Day 4 Fri Mar 20 Sea of Galilee
Start the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee from Ein Gev. Visit the ancient Boat Museum to see the 2000 year old “Jesus Boat” which was discovered in 1986. Visit the archeological site of the Tel Hazor museum. Ascend the Golan Heights to visit the Banias, the site of ancient Caesarea Philippi and Tel Dan. Visit Safed the city of the Kabala. End the day with a stop at Yardenit the Baptism Site on the Jordan River.

Day 5 Sat Mar 21 Sea of Galilee - Upper Galilee
Start the day with a visit to Bethsaida an ancient town of fishermen by the Sea of Galilee which becomes important as the native town of Peter, Andrew and Phillip. Make our way to Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Drive to Capernaum to see the remains of Peter’s House and where Jesus chose to center His ministry. Continue to the newly excavated site of Magdala. Visit Mt. Arbel where you can see a beautiful view of the life and works of Jesus. End the day with a visit to Korazim.

Day 6 Sun Mar 22 Dead Sea
After breakfast, travel to tour Beit Shean excavations that have revealed Israel’s largest ruins of a Roman City. Stop at Kaser El Yehud where Joshua crossed over the Jordan with the children of Israel and where John the Baptist baptized people. Visit Qumran where the Essenes copied the scrolls. Take a short hike in the wonderful “Ein Gedi” where David hid from King Saul. Ride the cable car to the top of Masada to explore the fortress built by King Herod. Enjoy a dip in the therapeutic salt mineral water of the Dead Sea.

Day 7 Mon Mar 23 Jerusalem
On the way to Jerusalem stop at Genesis Land for some ‘ancient biblical’ hospitality and experience a camel ride. Stop for a view of St. George’s Monastery. We will have a group photo taken on the Mount of Olives, where you can take in the panoramic view of the Old City. Continue to visit the fortress of Herodian. Ascend up to Jerusalem for a view of the city and a visit to Caiaphas’s house on Mt. Zion.

Day 8 Tue Mar 24 Jerusalem
Today visit the City of David to explore Warren’s Shaft, Gihon Spring and Pool of Siloam. Enter the Old City to visit the Southern Wall and Steps that led to the temple at the Davidson Centre. Visit the Western Wall and Western Wall Tunnels. Walk through the Cardo Maximo at the restored Jewish Quarter. On to visit the Temple Mount. And the Pools of Bethesda in the Christian Quarter of the Old City.

Day 9 Wed Mar 25 Jerusalem
See some of the Dead Sea Scrolls in the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum, and nearby the Model of 1st Century Jerusalem. Travel to visit Abu Gosh and Ein Kerem in the Judean Hills. Drive to the Biblical Garden of Neot Kedumim where you will see many different trees mentioned in the Bible. In the evening, enjoy the Tower of David Museum Light Show.
