These special theme tours are led by tour leaders and all aspects of the tour will be taken care of from the registration process and until you get back home. The tours include most expenses: Flights, Hotels, 2 meals a day, guide, tourist bus, transfers and entrance fees.







Day 1 Start your Spiritual Journey and The Mediterranean
Arrive at Ben Gurion airport where you will be met by a Sunworld Tours representative. Drive to visit the ancient seaport of Jaffa where St. Peter had his vision on the rooftop of the House of Simon the Tanner. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Tel Aviv on your way to your hotel to have a welcome dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 2 The Way of the Sea to The Galilee
Drive along the ancient “Way of the Sea” to explore Caesarea, where St. Peter baptized the first Gentile converts and where Paul was held prisoner by the Romans. Continue to the Muhraqa located on the spot where Elijah confronted the false priests of Ba’al. Drive to Haifa through the Carmel Mountains to visit the Carmelite Monastery Stella Maris and celebrate Mass. View the magnificent Golden Domed Bahai Shrine and the Persian Gardens. Stop at Meggido one of the greatest cities of the ancient time, the capital of King Solomon and site of the New Testament’s Armageddon.

Day 3 The Galilee The Beginning
This morning explore Nazareth, the childhood home of Jesus. Visit the Basilica of Annunciation with its magnificent representations of Mary from around the world and celebrate Mass. We will also visit Mary’s Well and the Church of the Angel Gabriel. Proceed to Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed the first miracle, changing water into wine. Then visit the Franciscan chapel for a chance to renew wedding vows. We then proceed to visit Mt. Tabor, site of the Transfiguration and end the day at Yardenit, the baptism site on the Jordan River for an optional Baptism service. Dinner and overnight in the Galilee

Day 4 Sea of Galilee The Ministry
Begin with a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. Stop at Nof Ginosar Museum to see the old boat dating back to the days of Jesus found in the Sea of Galilee. Proceed to Capernaum where Peter lived and where Jesus began teaching in its Synagogue. View the House of St. Peter and the Memorial of St. Peter. Visit the Mount of the Beatitudes to gain a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee and where one of Jesus' famous teaching episodes Sermon on the Mount was given. Then to Tabgha site of the loaves of bread and two fish. Continue to Chapel of St. Peter Primacy where Jesus appeared to the disciples after the Resurrection and celebrate mass near the shores of the Sea of Galilee. End the day at Banias, where the Apostle Peter made his great confession of faith in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God which also features the Ruins of Temples built by Herod, and a thundering waterfall.

Day 5 Jordan Valley to the Holy City
Start the day at Beth Shean, in the Jordan valley, where excavations have disclosed the ruins of the country’s largest city in the Roman Empire. This is the city where Saul and his son Jonathan were nailed to the walls. Travel south for a stop at Kaser El Yehud, a baptism site at the Northern tip of the Dead Sea, where John the Baptist is said to have practiced his baptisms. Continue to Qumran, center of the Essenes who wrote the Dead Sea Scrolls to celebrate an open mass. Enjoy a “Float” in the rich salt mineral waters of the Dead Sea. Then travel up to Jerusalem via the Judean Wilderness like pilgrims have done for centuries via Jericho and the Mount of Temptation, where Jesus fasted forty days and nights before his last ascent to Jerusalem. Enjoy your first glorious view of the Golden City of Jerusalem from atop Mount Scopus.

Day 6 Jerusalem - Shrines of the Holy Land The City of Jesus and Bethlehem
You will spend the day retracing the steps of Jesus in the final week of His life on earth. Begin by driving to the Mt. of Olives to view of the “Golden City”, where Jesus began His Palm Sunday journey into Jerusalem. Walk down the Palm Sunday road to Dominus Flevit a church which commemorates the site where Jesus wept over Jerusalem, with Mass. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus spent the night in prayer along, with the Church of All Nations named for the contributions made by Catholics from around the world - also known as the Basilica of the Agony. In the afternoon drive to Bethlehem (security permitting) to visit the Church of Nativity and see the Fields of Ruth and Boaz. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem

Day 7 Jerusalem The Footsteps of Jesus
Drive to Mount Zion to visit the Upper Room, where Jesus had His final Passover with His disciples. Visit Dormition Abbey marking the site where Mary was taken up to Heaven. Then to St. Peter in Gallicantu, built over the ruins of the House of Caiphas, where Jesus was tried by the Sanhedrin and imprisoned for a night. Proceed to St. Stephen’s Gate and walk along the Via Dolorosa – the 14 stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to celebrate Mass at the site of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Pass the Fortress of Antonia where Jesus was tried by Pontius Pilate. Visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed a paralytic, and the Church of St. Anne built over the home of Anne and Joachim, the parents of Mary, and the Arch of Ecce Homo. Walk through the colorful Arab bazaar. End the day for a tranquil visit at the Garden Tomb. Optional Evening out for the Tower of David Night Spectacular.

Day 8 Jerusalem
This morning enter the Old City of Jerusalem to visit the Jewish Quarter’s colorful alleys and markets. Walk along the renovated Cardo, the main street of Jerusalem 2000 years ago to the Western Wall. Visit the Temple Mount and view the Dome of the Rock (security permitting). Tour Davidson Center, that tells the story of pilgrimage to the city at the time of Jesus and tour the Southern Steps of the Temple. In the afternoon spend time at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial, visiting the memorial sites, the new museum and the Valley of the Jewish Communities. End the day at Ein Karem, the “City of Judah”, which was the birthplace of John the Baptist. Visit the Church of St. John and the Church of Visitation, where Mary met Elizabeth and uttered the Magnificent to celebrate Mass.

Day 9 Departure
Transfer to the airport with assistance for your flight back home
